The State Treasury on November 30, 2016 sold VND3.2 trillion government bonds out of VND4.9 trillion bonds bid at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) at the rates of 5.25% p.a.
In the bid, the State Treasury planned to sell VND4.9 trillion worth of government bonds, distributed at VND3.9 trillion and VND1 trillion for 5-year and 7-year terms respectively.
Bidders registered for nearly VND7.711 trillion 5-year bonds, seeking rates of 5.2-6.4% p.a. In the end, the State Treasury sold VND3.2 trillion bonds at 5.25%.
Bidders registered for VND701 billion 7-year bonds, seeking rates of 5.7-6.9% p.a. In the end, the State Treasury sold no bond.
Year to date, the State Treasury has sold a combined VND277.794 trillion worth of government bonds.
